Based in the UK close to London we have comprehensive design, manufacturing and paint finishing facilities. We encourage our clients to visit at all stages of the design and build process. We are easily accessible by road and train plus we can arrange private helicopter landing adjacent to the factory. International access is very easy via London Stansted airport.
Our in-house design team are available to support fully developed 3D CAD designs as well as projects where only minimal information is available. We can create a full 3D CAD aviation model from images alone and can also support the approval process with realistic visualisations/renders of the proposed aviation replica.
Our designers also have a great deal of experience collaborating with aerospace manufacturer design departments to ensure that the optimum result is achieved.
Aircraft Model Making Process
1-1 Scale Jet Engine Replica Model
Fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft can be constructed to accommodate moving propellors/rotor blades. We can also engineer variable pitch blades to be animated as well as control surfaces.
Full scale replica models of VTOL aircraft can be presented with motorised or manual vectoring for engine nacelles and annular ducted fans. All aerospace models can be built to feature programmable LED lighting schemes to help maximise the impact of any exhibit model.
During the making of any airframe model we consider the final finishing requirements and of course take that equally seriously. High quality paint finishing is the most often used method alongside the application of bespoke printed vinyl decals. Also popular is vinyl wrapping using either off-the-shelf or bespoke printed materials. This method can be very cost effective for more complicated designs and for demanding finishes like chrome or mirror finishes.

Full size mock ups can be configured to show the full interior detail. This can include realistic moulded tinted clear plastic windows to represent glass and fully upholstered bespoke seating. All interior panels and flight controls can be created to complete a true to life cabin which can be used for demonstration. Our goal is always to build 1:1 full size aviation model mock ups to be credible as the real aircraft. Whether it’s an exterior only model or complete with interior and cockpit it’s got to look like it could be real and operational – at least on first impression.
