Concept models are produced to create a physical depiction of objects before they are manufactured. They help others to visualise and understand the object they represent and so have a number of uses in the design and sales process. Some are even made to work like the finished product will.

What can be represented in a concept model?

What is the process involved?
They can be created using a number of different technologies and techniques. Basic models can be made very quickly and cost effectively using rapid prototyping techniques or 3D CNC machining from foam to demonstrate fit, function and form. These can then be further made use of to create exceptionally high quality concept models which can be chromed, finish painted or vacuum metalised to the highest level.
It is also possible to have working models made that are capable of demonstrating fully functional and automated features, which are particularly useful for exhibition model or museum model purposes.
Multiple copies can be made as well, using silicone moulding and vacuum casting.
