There are different types of architectural models, each showing a different level of complexity right from concepts that are made to give a really simple view of the dimensions of buildings to much more complex models with every detail completed.

You will often also see architectural models used as showpieces once the building or development is completed, for example you will often see them in hotels and larger businesses. They can help people work out how to navigate around existing buildings as well as providing an insight into what historical buildings would have looked like many years ago.

The construction of these types of model really depends on the end use; who it is needed for and how long it is required for. This enables the correct materials and processes to be used.
