McLaren Mercedes Stirling Moss – Rapid Manufacturing Techniques

Rapid casting techniques were employed to create the beautiful stainless steel exhaust finishers on the new Stirling Moss McLaren Mercedes.
This ground breaking process proved ideal for the small production run of 75 cars and the exceptionally high quality standards demanded.
Following casting the exhaust finishers were CNC machined and then polished to the highest quality. High temperature paint detailing and mounting to a folded stainless steel sheet back plate using aerospace
fasteners completed the requirement for McLaren.
Zaha Hadid – CNC Sculpture

Complex 3D CNC Machining from our clients supplied CAD data.
Using our largest CNC milling machine the 2 metre long sculpture was CNC machined from 1 piece of model board.
The challenging geometry required a great deal of ingenuity but we love a challenge and the result speaks for itself.
We finished the model in white ready for an artist to carry out final paintwork detailing in our brand new paint shop facilities.
Chanel – The Art of Paper

Window and boutique interior paper flowers.
Over 1000 individual flowers were constructed entirely from plain white paper for a recent Chanel promotion.
We created DXF files from the clients visuals and used this data to cut all of the flower and leaf components.
We then CNC machined a series of formers in modelboard to shape the various components before final assembly. The job was quite low tech for us but very enjoyable and a stunning result.
Girl Guides – We Promise To Do Our Best CNC Machining

As part of the Girl Guides Centenary celebrations an historical Maze in Crystal Palace Park has been completely renovated.
We were commissioned to produce a sign to accompany this renovation.
The sign text and maze details were CNC machined into brushed stainless 316 sheet using our largest CNC milling machine.
