Model and prototype making by JH May, offering rapid prototyping, CNC machining, vacuum casting, presentation models and RIM moulding. J H May modelmakers originally started as patternmakers in 1919 in London, UK. They now offer presentation model making, building, resin tooling, machining, vacuum casting, vac forming, architectural models, engineering, checking, batch production, 3D digitising, CAD CAM and RP. One of the most respected modelmaking services in south-east England, J H May have a great deal of modelmaking experience in transport industries, particularly automotive. We have outstanding facilities, including 3 CNC milling machines, an MCP vac-cast system, a large capacity RIM (reaction injection moulding) machine, FDM, SLA, SLS, a vac-form machine and capacity for 3D CAD modelling. We have a team of 8 full time, skilled modelmakers. Our resin tooling closely simulates final production tooling and can produce mouldings up to the size of a car bumper with very high precision. A range of polyurethane resins are available to accurately reproduce most thermoplastics.
