3D Laser Scanning and CNC Machining to Reproduce Ancient Artefacts.

Precious artefacts collected by Sigmund Freud and assembled into a chess set were laser-scanned in-situ.

The clear pieces were CNC machined directly from the 3D cad files created from the scan data. The other pieces were SLA rapid prototype builds.

Bear Bricks – The Next Big Thing Goes Large.

If you haven’t heard about this phenomenon from Japan yet you are going to soon. We produced 3 models at over 2 metres tall for a UK launch. The bears were CNC machined from 3D cad data in foam and painted.

     

Wind Tunnel Model in just 10 days

Using a combination of Rapid Prototyping and CNC Machining we managed to turn around a Wind Tunnel Model in just 10 Days.

The model was produced for a major defence contractor in time to meet a wind tunnel testing slot.

The body is a composite of CNC machined model board and SLA rapid prototypes.

The adjustable base is machined from solid aluminium.
