Many of our projects are required within a very tight lead-time, and having the combination of machines and the varied skills of our model-makers is hugely beneficial for such tasks. As we are capable of completing a majority of processes on-site, this reduces our need to send work out for sub-contracting, leaving our turnaround times extremely competitive.

Large Scale Point of Sale Models
Model Making By host on 28/06/2011 09:22
We were initially approached to repair and modify a 6 foot toothbrush model. This then developed into us producing a large scale toothpaste model for the same customer. There were several modifications to be made on the toothbrush model; the location of the switch cluster was to be changed so this was drawn in 3D CAD and directly CNC machined from Ureol model board. An aperture was then cut into the existing model and our modified switch was put in place.

Laser Scanning Reverse Engineering
Model Making By host on 07/10/2010 05:42
Some products require reverse engineering due to CAD data not being available. This means an existing component of the part to be manufactured has to be 3D laser scanned first, in order to create 3D CAD files. Once the 3D cad file has been created we can utilise rapid prototyping techniques to make models which can be checked to validate the laser scan data. Following validation the same data is used to create the part in the production material on either a 3 axis or 5 axis CNC milling machine.

LinkedIn Industry Awards
Model Making By host on 17/09/2010 06:23

Awards and trophies are often requested as these are usually required as single units or very low quantities. Many consist of a variety of materials in order to achieve the finishes and style the customer has specified. The business network company LinkedIn required a set of 5 awards, these were produced incorporating both acrylic and aluminium. An aluminium base was CNC machined and brush anodised to achieve an aesthetic finish. Having the capabilities to machine various materials and a large selection of surface finishes available means we are able to accomplish a range of our clients design specifications.
